Archbishop Lefebvre and the May 1988 Protocol

In the month of May 1988 the late Archbishop Lefebvre signed a Protocol with "Rome" that would take his SSPX back into the Conciliar Church. MyrnaM replied to Paul's discussion Medjugorje - what are the facts?
"Not to change the subject, but didn't really want to start a new topic about apparitions. Does anyone know for sure, about the apparition of Our Lady of Marienfried?  I remember being told that when she appeared she said she would not…"

"I realize we all have these devices to some extent and there is some good from them, however I can't stop thinking about a prophesy from St. Nilus that I read when I was in High School sometime between 1955 - 1957, one part of the prophesy…"

Rob commented on Admin's blog post What is binding on Catholics?
"You have to wonder what will help, particularly seeing they have no problem with the heretical belief that a true pope can be head of the true Church and head of a false church, simultaneously!  Perhaps they need to see physical documents…"

"Shouldn't this concept that RNOer brings up have converted R&R crowds decades ago? I don't really see what is suddenly going to make this more obvious to them."

"I realize that they think the Ecumenical Councils are worthless. I was simply answering your aside question of the canon of Sacred Scripture, and that was settled by Trent."

Rob commented on Senorita Rita's blog post Dare We to Be Different?
"Very well!  Once we are resigned to being ridiculed for being different, we then have to watch out for the other extreme, where we start to evaluate our own progress based upon the amount of ridicule we get from others. In other words, we…"

Rob commented on Admin's blog post What is binding on Catholics?
"I have been thinking of this angle in the past year. It looks like it may have great potential to convert the R&R crowds. This needs some research to find at least one document. All the books of the New Testament were not added to the canon of…"

Assumpta est Maria commented on Admin's blog post What is binding on Catholics?
"Yes, that is the problem with R and R.  R and R is not Catholic.  Submission to the heirarchy is Catholic.  You can't be a Catholic if you reject infalliblity and indefectibility, or even if you say that heretics are members of…"

"One of the curious inconsistencies with the Vatican 2 religion is how often the more "conservative" ones like to bring this argument up with protestants regarding the Bible - they will ask "how can you say you follow only the Bible…"
